The South West Coast Path comprises 630 miles of superb coastal walking. From Minehead on the edge of the Exmoor National Park to the shores of Poole Harbour in Dorset, it is the best way to enjoy the wonderful coastal scenery, wildlife and heritage.
The Old Wainhouse Inn is situated close to one of the most dramatic stretches of the coast path and whether you enjoy a short walk in the fresh sea air or a long, energetic hike, there is much here to impress and enjoy.
This section of the coast path takes you from the sandy surfing beaches of Bude along to the historic town of Tintagel, famous for its links with the legend of King Arthur and the ruins of the ancient castle high up on the imposing cliffs. This 21 mile stretch takes you through Widemouth Bay, Millook Haven, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Pentargon Waterfall and Rocky Valley and offers stunning views and wonderful wildlife along the way.
The coast path is easily accessible from many roads and lanes along the way, so visitors can choose to walk as far as they wish.
Why not enjoy a breathtaking walk along the coast path before joining us at The Old Wainhouse Inn for a delicious meal or refreshing drink in our bar and restaurant, or perhaps a brisk Sunday afternoon walk after one of our impressive roast dinners.
